1. Data Processing with and without a Personal Reference

1.1 Surfing on our Website

In general, you can visit our website without informing us who you are. We only learn

• your IP address,
• the name of the website accessed or the requested file and the time of the request,
• the data volume transferred and
• whether not the request was successful.

This data is used exclusively for the administration and optimisation of our website.

The IP address may be a personal piece of data, because it is possible under certain conditions to learn the identity of the holder of the Internet access used by means of information from the respective Internet provider.

The IP address is analysed by us during attacks on our Internet infrastructure. In this case, there is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 (f) of the GDPR in the processing of the IP address. This legitimate interest is the result of the need to ward off the attacks on the Internet infrastructure, to determine the origin of the attack in order to proceed under criminal and civil law against the party responsible and to effectively prevent further attacks.

The IP address is deleted as soon as we can exclude the possibility that it was the source of any attack on our website. This usually occurs after 7 days.


1.2 Use of Cookies

Cookies are small data packets which are stored on the hard drive of your computer via the browser. They are used to control the Internet connection during your visit or during a later visit to our websites and make the visit more convenient for you.

Some browsers already allow cookies in the basic setting. If you do not want this, you can change the setting of your browser. Please refer to the information from the browser manufacturer to find out how to do this. If you choose not to accept cookies, you may not be able to use parts of our website.


1.3 Contact and Communication

On some pages you can enter the personal data indicated there into input fields for the purpose of correspondence with us.

This data is processed exclusively for the correspondence with you and for the purpose for which you have entrusted the data to us as part of this communication, such as for the processing of your enquiries or to contact you at your request. In this case, the processing of the personal data takes place with your consent and is permissible pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 (a) of the GDPR. We delete your relevant data if the purpose for which you disclosed your data to us has been fulfilled and if, for legal reasons, we are not entitled or obliged to store the data any longer.


1.4 Google Maps

Our website uses Google Maps to display maps and create driving directions. The operator of Google Maps is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. If you use other Google functions, for example, by clicking on a displayed map, you use a service of Google outside our sphere of influence. 1.5 Data protection statement for Google Analytics

This website employs the services of Google Analytics provided by Google Inc. The website usage analysis involved is made possible by the storage of cookies on your computer, which generate information on your usage behavior and transfer it to Google Inc. An abbreviated version of your IP address is typically included in the data sent to Google’s servers. In exceptional cases, your full IP address may be transferred. Google uses this information on our behalf to create reports on how visitors use our website. The IP addresses identified by Google Analytics will not be associated with other Google data. If you wish to prevent the storage of cookies on your computer, you can configure the related settings accordingly in your web browser. Unfortunately, this can result in limited functionality on our website.

If IP addresses are not being anonymized (read: masked) through the addition of the code “gat._anonymizeIp ( ) ;”, the data collected will be handled in accordance with Germany’s data protection laws and Google’s terms of use, which prohibit the transfer of personal data to Google. You can prevent the collection and storage of your data going forward at any time by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at tools.google.com.

1.6 Consent

Furthermore, use or processing of your personal data takes place only if you have granted us consent to do so and we are accordingly authorised pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 (a) of the GDPR to process your personal data. In some areas of our Internet presence you have the option to grant such express consent. If you give us your consent, you will be informed by us of the purpose for which the data will be processed and how long we store this personal data.

1.7 Other Processing based on a legitimate Interest

If necessary, we process your data beyond the actual fulfilment of a contract concluded with you or consent granted by you in order to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of third parties if, on balance in the individual case, it appears that your legitimate fundamental rights and freedoms that required the protection of personal data do not outweigh them (please see Art. 6 para. 1 (f) of the GDPR). This may include:

• Review and optimisation of procedures for needs analysis and direct customer approaches;
• Advertising or market and opinion research, unless you have objected to the use of your data;
• Assertion of legal claims and defence in legal disputes;
• Safeguarding of IT security and the IT operations of the company;
• Prevention and investigation of criminal offences;
• Measures relating to business management and further development of services and products.

2. Your Rights as a User of our Website

2.1 Each data subject has the right to information in accordance with Art. 15 of the GDPR, the right to correction in accordance with Art. 16 of the GDPR, the right to deletion in accordance with Art. 17 of the GDPR, the right to restrict the processing in accordance with Art. 18 of the GDPR, as well as the right to data portability as stated in Art. 20 of the GDPR. Restrictions in accordance with §§ 34 and 35 of the German FederalData Protection Act (BDSG) apply to both the right to information and the right to deletion. Furthermore, there is a right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 of the GDPR in conjunction with § 19 of the BDSG).

2.1.2 Information on your right to revoke in accordance with Art. 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

You have the right for reasons arising from your particular situation to lodge an objection to the processing of personal data that concerns you based on Article 6 para. 1 (e) of the GDPR (data processing in the public interest) and Article 6 para. 1 (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (data processing on the basis of a weighing of interests).

If you lodge an objection, we will no longer process your personal data unless we can prove compelling legitimate reasons for the processing which outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

2.2 In general, the assertion of all rights referred to in Number 2.1 is at no cost to you.
